A 50-year-old Manitowoc man arrested late Sunday night on various weapons and Drug Charges appeared in Manitowoc County Circuit Court Monday afternoon.
Ricky Ratajczyk remains in the County Jail on $300 cash bail on charges of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Felony possession of Methamphetamine, and a Misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed knife.
Police responded to a call of a burglary in progress at a residence in the 1600 block of Columbus Street and spotted two individuals exiting the residence.
Ratajczyk told officers that their friend lived in the upper portion of the residence. Over time, he appeared to become more skittish, attempting to leave on his bicycle.
He had an arrest warrant, and he was taken into custody without further incident.
A subsequent search revealed that Ratajczyk had seven concealed knives, nearly two grams of methamphetamine, and a loaded 9-millimeter handgun either on his person or in his backpack.
Conditions of bail are that Ratajczyk is not to possess any weapons and is not to possess any controlled substances (s) without a valid prescription.
His initial court appearance is scheduled for August 5th at 1:30.
