United States Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg will be in Manitowoc today (July 30th).
Secretary Buttigieg will be making a stop at the Port of Manitowoc as part of the Investing in America tour.
As part of the Midwest tour, Buttigieg will be highlighting the Investing in America Agenda of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
This agenda has made investments possible that strengthen rural communities, revitalize domestic manufacturing, and support the national economy.
Buttigieg’s visits in Wisconsin and Michigan will be to three ports that are key to the regional economies that keep commodities, including agricultural products, moving throughout the Great Lakes region and beyond.
He will also be making a stop in Milwaukee on Wednesday (July 31th) before traveling to his home state of Indiana on August 2nd.
