The person who lost their life in a Door County car crash has been identified.
The Door County Sheriff’s Office has announced that the driver has been identified as 21-year-old Leonel Ramirez Jr. from San Joaquin, California.
The circumstances of the one-vehicle crash remain under investigation, and results of an autopsy performed by the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office are still pending.
As we previously reported, the crash took place in the Town of Liberty just before 1:30 in the morning.
It was said the vehicle was heading west on Waters End Road before it left the roadway and struck a tree in the south ditch, killing the driver.
The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and no more information on the incident is being released at this time.
