With the football season right around the corner for Manitowoc Lincoln, future Shipbuilders are invited to come learn the ropes.
Marcos Alfaro, the founder and coach of the Manitowoc County Mariners, has signed on to run the 8th-grade Midshipmen program, and he is ready to get started.
He and the rest of his staff will be handing out equipment on Monday, August 12th, at Washington Middle School with the first day of practice being the next day.
All 8th graders in the Manitowoc Public School District are welcome to come out and learn how to play football and what it means to be a part of a team.
The 8th-grade staff will also be working directly with the high school staff to ensure the future Shipbuilders will be ready to help bring the program back to a place of dominance.
