Charges have been filed against a 29-year-old Milwaukee woman for allegedly attacking a Manitowoc resident with a cell phone last weekend.
Geveese N. Porter has been charged with Disorderly Conduct, Battery, and injury by negligent handling of a dangerous weapon.
Police received a call early on the morning of July 27th to arrive as soon as possible to deal with an altercation between two women visiting from Milwaukee that had turned physical.
The caller stated that she believed one of them was stabbed.
Police learned that after speaking with all three involved, Porter had struck the victim with her cell phone “multiple times” before grabbing a knife and threatening to kill them both.
Porter had also allegedly swung the knife, punching the victim numerous times before officers arrived.
No motive was given for, or any information is known to what led to the altercation.
The extent of the injuries was not reported, and Porter was taken to The County Jail for outstanding warrants for her arrest in Milwaukee County.
Conditions of bail are that Porter is to have “no contact” with the victim or possess any weapon(s).
She remains in The County Jail at last word with an initial appearance scheduled for August 5th at 1:30.
