A home in Appleton caught fire earlier this week, causing major damage.
NBC26 reports that multiple fire engines were dispatched to the residence in the 4100 block of South Woodendale Way after the family was awoken by the sound of a smoke alarm at around 3:00 Wednesday morning.
All five family members in the home and their two dogs were able to escape, allowing the fire teams to immediately attack the blaze.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, but no injuries were reported.
The fire caused an estimated $350,000 in damage.
The Appleton Fire Department has stated that the smoke detectors made a major impact on the outcome of this incident.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
