There is only one meeting scheduled for today (August 5th) in the City of Manitowoc.
The Personnel Committee will gather in the Council Chambers at 5:30 p.m., where they will give the public time to comment.
Then, after looking over their regular monthly reports, the group will get an update on a benefit plan.
They will also look over a request to revise seasonal pay rates before discussing a proposed ordinance amendment.
A letter from City Attorney Eric Nycz to the Committee states that he is requesting “the Common Council consider providing its informed consent to allow the (Office of the City Attorney) to communicate information related to its representation of the City to other attorneys when such communication benefits the City and does not disadvantage the City’s legal position.”
The full letter explaining the situation can be found on the City’s meeting agenda website.
