Manitowoc City workers were out early this morning removing a fallen tree.
Public Infrastructure Operations Manager Billy Hutterer tells Seehafer News that a tree fell onto Michigan Avenue, causing the closure of the stretch or roadway between Indian Bluff Drive and North 23rd Street.
Traffic is being detoured onto Highway R, Waldo Boulevard, and North 23rd Street.
It is expected that the road will be closed until around 3:00 Wednesday afternoon as a portion of the road will have to be repaired as well.
