A two-vehicle crash in Shawano County has left one dead and another seriously injured.
At approximately 12:55 Sunday evening, the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls reporting the accident in the Town of Hartland.
The crash took place on Highway 29 just outside Doc’s Harley Davidson.
When law enforcement and EMS arrived, one occupant, an 80-year-old Shawano woman, was found unconscious and not breathing.
CPR was performed by a deputy with assistance from a citizen, however she was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The driver of the vehicle sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Initial investigations showed the vehicle of the deceased passenger pulled out of Doc’s Harley Davidson and failed to clear the intersection.
They were struck in the driver’s side rear quarter panel by an eastbound vehicle on Highway 29.
Both vehicles came to a rest in the median of the highway.
All occupants of the eastbound vehicle were unharmed.
The crash is still under investigation, and it was confirmed the deceased woman was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
