The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers offense couldn’t get much going yesterday (August 6th) as they fell 5-0 to the Quad Cities River Bandits in the series opener.
The Bandits jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first 3 innings, while the Rattlers struggled to get anyone on base.
Only three batters reached via walk, and only five hits were recorded, three of which came off the bat of Cooper Pratt.
Patricio Aquino absorbed the loss on the mound, as he allowed the first three runs while allowing six hits in his four and two-thirds innings of work.
Despite the recent struggles, the Rattlers still hold a 9.5-game lead in the West Division, sitting at 65-37.
They will try to bounce back tonight, again at Modern Woodman Park in Davenport, Iowa, with Mark Manfredi taking the mound.
The Bandits will counter with Henry Williams.
Both pitchers have similar stat lines, however Manfredi comes in with a 5-2 record while Williams is at 3-4. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
