Principal Amber Zernzach of Tullar Elementary School in Neenah has passed away.
Zernzach was 36 years old, and she was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer in April earlier this year.
Zernzach served as the principal of Tullar Elementary over the past two years and at Rosendale-Brandon Elementary the year prior.
She worked for twelve years in the education field as both a teacher and administrator.
Zernzach was a graduate of UW-Oshkosh and received her master’s from UW-Stout.
Counselor and administrator Bill Richardson, who worked extensively with Zernzach will continue as the school’s interim principal.
Dr. Steve Harrison, Neenah Joint School District superintendent said in a statement, “Amber made a significant impact on our district and her students in her short time in Neenah as shown by the outpouring of support during her illness.”
To those who want to give a card to the family, they can be dropped off at Tullar Elementary’s main office.
