Robert “Bob” Anthony Mahlik, age 54 passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 after a long battle with illness.
Bob was born on October 26th, 1969 in Manitowoc, son of Robert G. Mahlik and the late Julie (Singer) Mahlik. He attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated from Roncalli High school with the class of 1988 with being in the National Honor Society. Bob worked odd jobs until moving to La Crosse where he attended the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree on December 21st, 1997. He then accepted a job at IBM, moving to Rochester, MN working there as long as he could! Bob then took a short-term job at another firm in the area, going on disability until his untimely death in New Brighton, Minnesota.
Bob is survived by his father and stepmother: Robert G. Mahlik and Cynthia A. Mahlik; one sister: Laura Anne Jacobs and her husband, Shawn Jacobs, Manitowoc; aunt: Betsy Smogoleski, West Salem, WI; and his significant other: Sheri Donaldson, Rochester, MN, other aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother: Julie Anne Mahlik; all grandparents, and aunt: Lynne Anne Mahlik.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 12th, 2024 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 South 14th Street, Manitowoc. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home om Monday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
