An apartment building caught fire over the weekend in Fox Crossing.
The fire was first reported to the Fox Crossing Fire Department at 1:00 Sunday afternoon (August 11th), and crews were sent to the 700 block of Wanda Avenue.
The Fox Crossing Fire Department arrived to find smoke coming from the front door of the multi-family apartment building.
All of the residents had evacuated without injury, with one of them reportedly using a pair of fire extinguishers to take down the flames in the living room.
Firefighters still took a hose inside to make sure it was completely out and ventilated the structure while others searched for and located a missing cat.
The feline later succumbed to its injuries.
Two adults were displaced as a result of the fire and are being aided by the American Red Cross.
No human injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
