The city of Manitowoc is looking for someone to fill a position on the Manitowoc Public Utilities Commission.
Finance Committee Chairman Jim Brey says the five-year term allows those on the board to manage all utilities through MPU.
Applicants must be residents of Manitowoc and will have to get the position via a vote by the common council.
Brey says the Finance Committee oversees the MPU commission and will decide which person they would recommend to the council at their monthly meeting.
Anyone interested in filling the term should submit a letter of interest and a short resume to the Manitowoc City Clerkâs Office by Thursday, August 29th at 4:30 p.m.
The Finance Committee will meet on September 3rd at 5:30 pm to make the recommendation.
The person to fill the five-year MPU Commission term will be picked by the common council on September 16th.
Questions can be directed to Alderman Brey by calling him at 920-682-9713 or by email jbrey@manitowoc.org.
The term runs from October 1st until September 2029.
