For only the second time since early June, gas prices in Eastern Wisconsin dropped over the past week.
According to the AAA Gas Prices webpage, Manitowoc County saw the average price per gallon of fuel drop twelve cents since this time last week, with the average sitting at $3.36.
Sheboygan County saw a dip of eight cents to $3.34, while Calumet County reported the largest decline of 20 cents to an average of $3.32.
Outagamie County’s average dipped seven cents to $3.28 per gallon, while Brown County also saw significant relief at the pump. Their average dropped 16 cents per gallon to $3.33.
Kewaunee County reported the smallest decline, just five cents to $3.39, while Door County motorists are paying an average of nine cents less at the pump this week with an average of $3.41 per gallon.
The state average went down by the same amount, nine cents, to $3.39, while the national average is at $3.44, a drop of two cents.
Wisconsin sits right around the middle of all states in terms of average price.
Alaska is the most expensive at $4.75, while the least expensive fuel can be bought in Mississippi, where the average price per gallon is $2.95.
