Jim Ohlschmidt and Steve Cohen will be bringing blues to the stage at the 24th annual Acoustic Fest this weekend.
On Saturday (August 17) the duo will kick of festivities and begin their performance at noon. Ohlschmidt’s titles include singer, guitarist, producer, and more.
His first solo acoustic LP, “Behind the Eye,” was recorded in 1976 in Minnesota, where the likes of Cat Stevens and Bob Dylan would record as well.
Cohen plays and teaches both harmonica and guitar and will be featuring the harmonica this weekend.
Cohen, like Ohlschmidt, has been recording and performing since the 70s.
Cohen says that while they are a little unconventional, the chemistry between them is something you don’t see every day.
Guests will be able to see this chemistry on full display at noon this Saturday in Manitowoc’s Washington Park.
