The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office deployed a drone team to locate three missing tubers.
On August 11th, just after 7:30 p.m., Marinette County Dispatch received a call from three tubers who had overturned and become lost on the Peshtigo River.
One of the three tubers got lost in a wooded area and was first located by arriving deputies.
Responding with the deputies were the Town of Stephenson Fire, Crivitz Fire, and Crivitz Rescue. Before arriving, the Sheriff’s Office activated a drone team to help in finding the lost tubers.
The drones swiftly found the remaining two tubers in roughly six minutes.
Using a spotlight feature of the drones, the fire department located and loaded up the tubers, who were all returned safely and unharmed.
