A Manitowoc man is pleaded not guilty to attempted homicide charges.
62-year-old Calvin C. Eis was arrested on the 4th of July after he and a 51-year-old female were found in a backyard with multiple stab wounds and other injuries.
However, Eis’ injuries were later determined to be self-inflicted. Eis waved his right to a preliminary hearing in Judge Mark Rohrer’s courtroom.
Roher then set a further proceedings date for September 13th with a scheduling conference date of November 5th.
Eis is to have no contact with the victim or other witnesses.
He can also have no contact with the Detour Bar or the Spruce Lodge and can’t possess dangerous weapons.
He also must maintain absolute sobriety.
Eis’ bond is still set at $500,000 cash as he faces charges of attempted 1st-degree intentional homicide, substantial battery, and strangulation and suffocation with domestic abuse assessments.
