A Manitowoc man has been sentenced in a 2022 OWI.
60-year-old Joseph Anthony Skidmore was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of OWI 4th Offence and was ordered to spend five months in jail under the Huber Law, followed by three years of probation by Judge Mark Rohrer.
Skidmore was arrested in 2022 after an officer noticed him driving on South 10th Street with no headlights on.
He admitted to police that he had been drinking, and a field breathalyzer came back with a BAC of .205, more than two and a half times the legal limit.
As a part of his probation, Skidmore was ordered to maintain absolute sobriety, not operate any motor vehicle, and will have to have an ignition interlock system installed in his vehicle.
