Hot air balloons will cover the skies of Manitowoc this evening (August 16th) for the Lakeshore Balloon Glow.
Today’s event runs from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and includes family-friendly activities, food trucks, drinks, a water ski show, and fireworks.
The success and safety of this community celebration are powered behind the scenes by the Healthiest Manitowoc County Substance Use Prevention Coalition’s (HMC-SUP) Festival Toolkits.
Erika Christel from Visit Manitowoc explains that the kits have been used since the event began and have been crucial in creating a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.
The toolkits include essential items such as wristbands, ID scanners, and informational posters.
There will also be a shuttle service to make sure everyone can get to the event grounds if you’re unable to park close.
Healthiest Manitowoc County is also getting help from the Northeastern Wisconsin Area Health Education Center for tonight’s Balloon Glow.
