There’s still time to register for the 5K Sputnikfest Art Walk and Run.
This is the fourth year for the event, which kicks off Sputnikfest.
Rahr-West Art Museum Executive Director Greg Vadney says participants can dress up as their favorite alien or normal workout gear for the race.
Participants will receive a t-shirt with this year’s art mural image, race bib, medal, and drink ticket.
Vadney reminds athletes that the annual race T-shirts will be available only to participate in the race, and participants need to be registered before August 18th to guarantee the limited-edition T-shirt.
Race entries will be accepted until September 6th, but T-shirts will not be available after the August 18th registration date.
Runners and walkers will walk along the art murals in downtown Manitowoc beginning at noon while Sputnikfest takes over 8th Street.
