Land in Wisconsin has significantly increased in value over the past year, according to the state’s Department of Revenue.
The latest Equalized Values Report reveals that the total value of all land in Wisconsin now stands at $907 billion, a $75 billion rise from the previous year.
Residential land remains the most valuable, with a worth of just over $667 billion, followed by commercial properties.
However, the biggest increases in value were seen in farmland and forest land, both of which rose by 11 percent over the past year.
Oconto County experienced the largest surge in land values at 16 percent, with Lafayette and Pepin counties close behind, each seeing a 14 percent increase.
