After a stretch of poor performances, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have now won two in a row thanks to a come-from-behind 6-3 victory over the Peoria Chiefs last night (August 15th).
Wisconsin started out the scoring the 1st with a run, but the Chiefs would plate three runners over the next 3 innings, giving them a 3-1 lead entering the bottom of the 4th.
The Rattlers would rally in that half inning, scoring 3 runs, including one on an RBI single from Hedbert Perez, his first hit in a Timbe Rattler jersey.
The score would remain 4-3 entering the 8th when Matthew Wood and Perez each drove in a run to give the Rattlers some insurance.
Will Rudy earned the win on the mound, coming on to pitch five innings in relief while striking out five batters. Aaron Rund got the save, striking out three batters over the final two innings.
The Rattlers will try to keep the mini-win streak alive as they host the Chiefs for game four tonight at Fox Cities Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 p.m.
