The truck and tractor pull for tonight’s (August 16th) Newton Volunteer Fire Department Picnic has been canceled.
The pull, originally scheduled for 7:00 p.m., has been called off due to severe rains throughout the day.
The Volunteer Fire Department announced that while the pull has been canceled, Smoke Road will still perform at 8:30 p.m.
There will also be no change to the fish plates being served starting at 5:00 p.m. or the volleyball tournaments, which will be taking place throughout the night.
