The man who was shot by Fitchburg Police on Monday has died.
The 28-year-old man was reportedly involved in a domestic violence incident and charged at officers with a knife, leading to the shooting.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice confirmed that he passed away in the hospital on Thursday.
The incident is under investigation, and the officers involved remain on leave pending its conclusion.
