It has now been a week since the United States Men’s Basketball team won Gold at the Paris Olympics and Tyrese Haliburton has begun to reflect on his experience.
Haliburton, a former state champion with Oshkosh North, was recognized for his strong performance last NBA season with an invitation to play for the U.S. in Paris.
This was an opportunity that he could not refuse even though he was aware it would be in a limited role.
Haliburton took to social media to post some old pictures his mom had sent him. The two sets of images include a young Haliburton sporting both Lebron James jerseys and a Team USA Kevin Durant jersey while in high school in Oshkosh.
The 2024 Olympics were a full circle moment for the All-NBA guard as he was able to call some of his childhood idols teammates.
Along with the old pictures were photos of Haliburton posing with James and Durant with their gold medals in hand.
The former Oshkosh North star looks to carry this moment into the upcoming NBA campaign.
Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers square off with the Bucks for the first time this season in Milwaukee on November 22nd.
