The Governor’s Task Force on the Healthcare Workforce has released its final report, proposing significant increases in state funding.
The 75-page report calls for additional financial support for new and existing nurses, healthcare education, apprenticeships, and frontline workers.
While some recommendations suggest deregulating aspects of Wisconsin’s healthcare system, the primary focus is on enhancing training, education, and workforce development.
Governor Evers has expressed support for the plan but has not yet indicated how the additional funding will be sourced.
