After steady increases for a two month stretch, the gas prices in our area dropped significantly over the past week.
According to the AAA Gas Prices website, Manitowoc County saw the largest drop off since last week, falling twelve cents to $3.24 per gallon, giving the county the second least expensive fuel in the area.
Sheboygan County meanwhile saw a six-cent dip while Calumet County’s average is down four cents, each now sitting at $3.28 per gallon.
Outagamie County also saw a six-cent drop to $3.22, while Brown County’s average is down eight cents to $3.25.
Kewaunee and Door Counties’ motorists are all paying an average of ten cents less at the pump this week, with averages of $3.29 and $3.31 per gallon, respectively.
The state average also sits at $3.31, which is eight cents less than last week, while the national average is down four cents to $3.40.
