With thousands of people ready to make a “bee line” to the Manitowoc County Fair, the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office is reminding people to remain safe.
While the main goal is to make sure everyone has fun, there are a few things to remember.
Firearms are not allowed on the Expo Grounds, make sure you have a safe ride home if you are going to drink, and to always be considerate of others.
For those going with children, there are several tips to help deputies in case your child becomes lost or separated.
Take a photo of your children before going inside. This will allow the officers to more easily identify your child facially and by what they are wearing.
It is suggested that your children wear bright-colored clothing and put your cell phone number in their pocket.
The Sheriff’s Office also suggests you talk to your children about where to meet if they were to get lost or separated.
The safest place would be the Sheriff’s Office Command Center, which is located in the ice center, which is on the west side of the fairgrounds.
There will be numerous deputies on foot patrol throughout the fair, helping make sure everyone is safe and has a great time.
