The Oshkosh man convicted of driving his boat into another boat on the Fox River has been sentenced.
According to court records, 53-year-old Jason Lindemann was sentenced to five months in jail plus 3 years of probation.
Lindemann was found guilty in June of several charges, including two counts of second-degree recklessly endangering safety and twelve counts of causing a boat accident and failing to render aid.
Lindemann’s speed boat crashed into the ‘On the Loos’ cruise boat in 2022.
According to WFRV, Lindemann reportedly dropped off injured passengers from his boat and drove onto Lake Winnebago.
His boat was found abandoned at a nearby marina the day after.
He was also reportedly drinking at the time of the crash.
Lindemann will return to court again for a restitution hearing on January 25th.
