A Tomah man accused of driving drunk has pleaded not guilty for what would be his 12th OWI offense.
WBAY reports that 58-year-old Jon Miner appeared in court on Monday (August 26th) in Outagamie County to enter the not guilty plea.
Miner is accused of driving with a .267 blood alcohol content when he was pulled over for going 85 mph in a 70 mph zone on I-41 near Kaukauna.
The Wisconsin State Trooper who pulled over Miner quickly saw an open bottle of vodka in the vehicle.
The 58-year-old also told the trooper he was drunk and admitted to drinking from the bottle of vodka while driving.
Upon being asked to exit his vehicle, Miner took one last drink from the bottle before complying with the trooper’s request.
Miner has 11 prior OWI offenses and was released in January of this year after serving a five-year prison sentence.
