Add Eau Claire to Wisconsin’s whooping cough list for 2024.
This week, Public health managers confirmed several pertussis cases in Eau Claire and Eau Claire County.
No one is saying just who is sick or how they got ill.
Wisconsin is seeing a spike in whooping cough cases this year.
So far, the state’s Department of Health Services says they’ve seen 278 cases.
Last year, DHS said there were just 51 whooping cough cases.
