The application period is coming up for the next round of Vibrant Spaces Grants.
The program is part of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, which aims to help communities recruit and retain residents, sustain a robust labor force, and enhance the quality of life.
Proposals will be evaluated based on their ability to create visible and pedestrian-oriented public spaces that attract and accommodate groups and activities and benefit nearby businesses and the community.
A maximum of 50 grants will be awarded, each between $25,000 and $50,000. WEDC Secretary and CEO Missy Hughes says the grant is a “great opportunity for communities of all sizes to get the funding and support they need to revitalize their public spaces.”
The WEDC will begin accepting applications on September 16th, with the deadline scheduled for December 9th.
The awardees will be announced in April of 2025.
