The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is coming up this weekend.
It takes place at the Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA on Saturday September 7th.
Participants can start arriving by 8:30 am, with the walk beginning at 10:00 am.
As of today, there are 82 people expected to participate, and 18 teams have been formed.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s Manitowoc County is looking to raise about $58,000 this year but has only raised a little more than $21,300 so far.
Registration for Saturday’s Walk is still open.
It starts on the back trail of the Y and is about 2 miles out and back on the Mariners Trail.
All money raised goes to research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
The event is held in more than 600 communities nationwide.
