A man was arrested after he allegedly smashed a toilet in his hotel room.
The Manitowoc Police Department dispatched officers to the Quality Inn on 44th Street just before 10:00 Friday evening (August 30th).
The staff directed them to room 213, where the 59-year-old man had smashed his toilet, causing his room to flood, and smoked in the room, causing the smoke alarm to go off.
The man refused to leave, prompting the call to police. When they entered the room, the man was found lying on the bed, with the rest of the room also severely damaged.
The officers woke the man up and asked him to come outside when they noticed several signs of impairment.
The man admitted to demolishing the room and smoking in the room, so he was placed under arrest.
He was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of Criminal Damage to Property, over $2,500, and Disorderly Conduct.
