An inmate at the Green Bay Correctional Institute is accused of killing his inmate out of boredom and due to his sexual orientation.
Fox 11 reports that according to a criminal complaint, a corrections officer saw a pink piece of paper covering the cell door on August 27th.
The officer asked the alleged killer and inmate, 24-year-old Jackson Vogel, to remove the paper so he could see inside.
That’s when the victim, 19-year-old Micah Laureano, was found dead due to strangulation.
Life-saving measures were attempted but to no avail.
The criminal complaint continues, saying when officers interviewed Vogel, he explained that he “always thinks about killing people.”
Vogel is facing first-degree homicide charges and will be in court on September 13th.
He was in prison for an attempted homicide in Manitowoc County after he stabbed one of his family members.
Laureno and Vogel only knew each other for a few hours.
