A structure fire at a fabrication facility in Luxemburg shut down a stretch of Highway 29.
WBAY reports that the fire occurred at Paplham Welding and Fabrication just off the highway at 5:45 on Thursday morning.
According to the Luxemburg Fire Chief, no one was hurt, but the building was heavily damaged from smoke, fire, and water during the firefight.
It is still undetermined what caused the fire, but it does appear to have started in an attached utility room before spreading to the main building structure.
The Kewaunee, Denmark, and Casco Fire Departments all assisted during the fire and the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Office in shutting down the highway, which was reopened around 7:45 a.m.
