The USDA is reminding farmers that time is running out to apply for fall-planted crop insurance.
Farmers in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa have until September 30th to apply for insurance on their cultivated wild rice, forage production, grass seed, mint, rye, and wheat for the 2025 crop year.
Growers are encouraged to visit their crop insurance agent soon to learn specific details for the 2025 crop year.
Additional information can be found on the Actuarial Information Brower agents.
A list of crop insurance agents is available at all USDA Service Centers and online at the RMA Agent Locator.
