Marion L. Lindholm, age 90, of Manitowoc passed away on Friday September 6, 2024, at St. Mary’s Home surrounded by her loving family following a short, yet courageous, battle with cancer.
Marion was born in Manitowoc on August 19, 1934, daughter of the late Joseph and Marcella (Walters) Tadych. Marion graduated with the class of 1953 from Lincoln High School. On June 6, 1959, Marion married Robert “Bob” Lindholm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2018. Marion was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and later St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Marion worked at Mirro and a deli in Manitowoc in the past, but her primary focus was taking care of her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved family gatherings where she could visit and play cards or dice. Over her lifetime, Marion shared a special bond with her 7 sisters and 4 brothers, witnessing their interactions was something we will always cherish.
Marion is survived by her children: Diane Ouradnik, David (Sue) Lindholm, Dan (Janet) Lindholm, Mike Lindholm, Mary (Tom) Romuald, all of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren: Travis (Jackie) Ouradnik, Sarah Lindholm, Brent Lindholm, Laura (Chris) Seehaver, Haly Lindholm, Melody (Jordan) Thomas, Harley Lindholm, Hunter Romuald, Gunnar Romuald, Cannon Romuald; eight great-grandchildren: Daytona and Andrew Seehaver, Braelyn, Bexleigh and Brahm Ouradnik, Ryker Ellertson, Luke and Lucy Thomas; her siblings include: Margaret Shaw, Nancy (Gary) Orth, Germaine Miles, Ann Murray, James (Judie) Tadych, Joseph Tadych; one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law: Roger Oswald, Donna Lindholm, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Edward and Rose Lindholm; her husband: Robert Lindholm; one grandson: Jason Ouradnik; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Lorraine Oswald, Janet (Wallace) Haske and Shirley (Albert) Reinke; two brothers: Jack Tadych and Thomas Tadych; three brothers-in-law: Thomas Murray, Malcolm Shaw, Albert Lindholm.
We were lucky to watch Marion reach a major milestone by being able to celebrate her 90th birthday a few weeks before her passing. She had an entire day of celebration surrounded by her entire family. She smiled the entire day.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 South 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Doug LeCaptain will officiate with burial to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marion’s name would be appreciated for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of her grandson Jason.
