The Ice Age Trail Alliance (IATA) will be rerouting Sheboygan’s Greenbush trail segment and encourage the public to join in.
Beginning today (September 11th) and going through Sunday (September 15th), the rerouting project will take place south of Highway 23 at 8:00 a.m. to roughly 4:30 p.m. each day.
Currently, this section of the Ice Age Trail is on a paved, multi-use trail. The goal is to craft new tread for the trail onto a landscape of deep kettles and big trees.
The IATA states no experience is necessary to participate, noting there is a role for all volunteers, regardless of age and abilities.
As part of the project, a light breakfast will be provided as well as dinner for volunteers choosing to stay overnight.
Registration and other information on the Ice Age Trail Greenbush rerouting project can be found online at iceagetrail.org/event.
