Rescue teams have recovered the body of a diver who disappeared while exploring a shipwreck off the Kenosha County shore.
Authorities confirmed yesterday that divers located the body of 72-year-old Patrick Kelly, a seasoned diver from Winthrop Harbor, Illinois.
Kelly had been diving near the wreckage of the SS Wisconsin in Lake Michigan, about five miles from shore and at a depth of 100 feet.
His friends, also divers, expressed uncertainty over what went wrong.
Both the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office and the Coast Guard participated in the recovery effort.
