The Kenosha County dive team lost a boat during the ongoing search for a missing diver in Lake Michigan earlier this week.
According to the sheriff’s office, the boat experienced a catastrophic failure on Tuesday while searching for the diver.
Fortunately, all eight dive team members on board were rescued with assistance from the Coast Guard.
The boat sank in approximately 65 feet of water and could not be recovered.
The dive team acquired the boat six years ago, and there is no update on whether it will be replaced.
