A Manitowoc man has been sentenced after stealing a car using a screwdriver.
According to court records, 18-year-old Fabian Adams pleaded guilty to attempting to take and drive a vehicle without consent and resisting or obstructing an officer.
Other charges of entry into a locked vehicle, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct were dismissed but read into the record.
He was sentenced to four years of probation and must pay $4,219 in restitution.
Manitowoc Police were called a vehicle theft back in June.
The owner of the vehicle told officers they were enjoying music at a local establishment when they found that their vehicle was stolen.
Police in Glendale, a Milwaukee suburb, later found the vehicle and, after a short chase, arrested a female driver and Adams.
He must also maintain full-time employment and schooling or a combination of both.
