Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce has announced the recipients of their Business Friend of the Environment Awards, Including some local companies.
Nine companies throughout the state were announced as winners in three categories: sustainability, environmental stewardship, and environmental innovation.
Among the sustainability winners were Redline Plastics of Manitowoc and Plexus Corporation in Neenah.
RGL Logistics out of Green Bay was a winner in the stewardship category while Mercury Marine of Fond du Lac received an award in innovation.
The Business Friend of the Environment program aims to demonstrate to Wisconsinites and lawmakers alike, which companies are leading the charge in environmentally conscious practices.
