A pedestrian has died after being struck by an SUV.
Manitowoc Police Lieutenant Bruce Tuma tells Seehafer News that officers and Manitowoc Fire Rescue were dispatched to the intersection of Maritime Drive and Huron Street just before 9:30 Saturday evening (September 14th) in response to the crash.
A 78-year-old Madison man was said to be crossing Maritime Drive when he was struck by an SUV being driven by a 78-year-old California man.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the SUV was uninjured.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is conducting the crash reconstruction.
No additional information is being released at this time.
