A Green Bay man is in custody following a large police presence.
The Green Bay Police Department responded to the 800 block of South Baird Street yesterday (September 16th) due to multiple incidents involving an individual that had been causing safety concerns throughout the past week.
This 26-year-old Green Bay man was seen making threatening gestures to officers while they gathered information on the previous incidents.
Green Bay PD requested additional help to bring the suspect into custody just after 12:45 p.m.
Following the threatening gestures, the 26-year-old barricaded himself inside his residence and refused to come out despite officers pleading with him.
Around 5:45 p.m., responding SWAT and K-9 teams were left without options and entered the home to arrest the suspect.
The Green Bay Police Department is referring charges to the Brown County District Attorney’s Office, and no further details are being released.
Green Bay PD was assisted by the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, Brown County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, and Green Bay Metro Transit.
