The City of Sheboygan will be removing hundreds of Emerald Ash Borer affected trees from a local park.
At the Sheboygan City Council meeting on Monday (September 16th), an agreement was made to remove 227 dead or dying trees from Jaycee Quarryview Park, located at 3401 Calumet Drive.
This agreement was made with Mueller Lawn Manicuring, LLC, who will be tasked with the removal project.
As per the agreement, the city will pay $34,237, and the contractor will have 100 days to complete the removal, clean up, and restoration.
Emerald Ash Borer has affected much of Wisconsin and in Sheboygan, it has been particularly bad.
Jaycee Quarryview Park is just one of many parks, forests, and private properties that have seen a majority of their trees killed off by this harmful invasive species.
