Congressman Glenn Grothman is blaming the mainstream media for the recent assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump.
Grothman issued a statement, calling the attack “alarming, but not surprising” that another person attempted to take the life of the former president, pointing to “Crazed rhetoric by leading Democrat politicians, including Kamala Harris herself.”
The “rhetoric” he pointed to was statements that a Trump presidency would “try to get rid of democracy” and that it would be “the end of elections.”
He called these statements “rubbish” and condemned the mainstream media outlets that have reported on it.
Grothman stated his is calling on “all leading Democrat mouthpieces, ABC, NBC, CNN, to publicly state that Donald Trump is not a threat to democracy—and clarify what they meant by their statements.”
Grothman went on to say that a second Trump presidency would “increase domestic energy output, keep corporate tax rates competitive with other countries, and avoid unnecessary foreign wars.”
