A local Jiu Jitsu team racked up the wins at a tournament held in Wisconsin Dells over the weekend.
TheĀ Manitowoc Jiu Jitsu Academy participated in a tournament hosted by Grappling Industries at the JustAgame Field House, where the kids/teens earned a first place finish as a team, and the entire squad collected a total of six gold medals, seven silver medals, and ten bronze medals.
Youth grapplers earning gold were Nattalie Vang, Kimora Saddler, who also earned a silver, and Hunter Mahner, who earned a pair of top finishes.
Aiden Lutz, and Nolan Thao both earned a silver and bronze medal, while Quinn Fessenbecker earned two bronze, and William Lutz brought home two silver, Steven Lutz had two bronze and Claire Vang had a bronze
As for the adults, McKenna Vogel earned two gold, one silver, and a bronze, while Paul Lutz earned a silver and bronze, and Cee Vang earned a bronze medal.
The Manitowoc Jiu Jitsu Academy runs out of a dojo at 3320 Dewey Street under head instructor Joey Velasques.
