St. Francis of Assisi Parish is taking the next step toward constructing a new St. Francis of Assisi Parish Grand Campus.
Back in April, the church knocked down the former St. Andrews School next to St. Francis of Assisi on Grand Avenue.
Father Doug LeCaptain announced last Friday that the church has hired an architect who is working to finalize plans for the new space with the project called “Rebuild My Church.”
St. Francis of Assisi is looking to raise about $2.5 million for the new building but still needs $800,000.
However, the church says they are well on their way to planning to break ground on the church on the new building in 2025.
The church is hosting several events in October to try to help raise money, including the Rebuild My Church Gala Dinner and Auction on October 4th.
LeCaptain continues, saying, “This has been an exciting year for the church moving forward with plans that have been in the works for several years.”
